NORTH RIVER AND
NORTH SHORE
These congregations trace their roots to the coming of
the Rev. Norman McLeod
and his followers in 1820. He and
his people were on their way from Pictou to Ohio
When a storm forced them to take
shelter in St. Ann's Bay. McLeod and many others
migrated to New Zealand in the
1850's.
This congregation has two congregations, William Reid, which in 2001 was an
amalgamation of the former Calvin
Church, French River and Knox, Indian Brook congregations; and St. Andrew's
North River.
